What is the best way to protect your computer from other servers gaining access to the provider of the internet? I seriously didnd’t have a clue people could gain access to your info. I have a laptop and a computer in my house. The computer obviously provides me access to the internet, but does this mean other computers can gain access and does this mean my internet is “unlocked”?

WPA is now possible to crack too, under 14 minutes or so. It has to use TKIP encryption however.. If your interest, search up the name Erik Tews.
WPA2 is suggested. So is a password with special characters, and a length of at least 8 characters..

Yes, but my point was that the internet is so insecure, it doesn’t really matter much what you use to connect to it, because anybody can snoop on you once your packets go out over the net.
You connect to the internet with ethernet too.
Oh, yeah, like there’s anything interesting you can do on a network that only connects to the computers in your house… I suppose you could invite your friends over and have a LAN party, but that’s about it.
Use ethernet instead.
So if you want to be secure, don’t use the internet! Or make sure your connection is encrypted from your browser to the server on the other end, and make sure you trust that server!
