Cool down people. A simple Man-in-the-middle attack.. There are tons of holes/bugs etc that you can find in our network today. For your home LAN just use WPA2 with AES, and all be in honey. Don’t use open authentication or PSK to encrypt the data with it.

First of you must have wifi and the hacker must be very close to your house to then start the sniffing and the chances of a hacker doing this to you are realy realy close to impossible

This also works great with nmap/zenmap, wireshark, and ettercap on Linux. This works for any computer on the network, not just those connected via wifi.
Keep in mind that the wifi at the coffee shop IS NOT SECURE! Anyone can be sniffing your packets. Also make sure to secure your home wifi.
If you want to play with this stuff, do it on your own network. Doing at the coffee shop like in this video could get you in serous trouble.
