Cannot find wireless networks unless I start wireless zero configuration service connected to LAN hard wired?

Wireless zero config is started but if started without a LAN line connected to my laptop the wireless adapter can’t find any networks.

1. Try Disable LAN Card from network connections.
Start > Run > ncpa.cpl
2. Assign a Static IP for WLAN network if feasible
3. Used the Wireless card manufacture software if possible

More inputs about the issue reported are needed to give a precise answer,
